Life
Astrid was born on Doggerland's national holiday, 1 June 1979, in the capital city of Doggerlund. She is the eldest daughter of King Leif V and Queen Ingeborg.
After graduating from high school, Astrid joined the Doggerland Armed Forces, where she chose to serve in the navy. She completed her officer training and rose to the rank of commander. At the same time, she studied economics at the military academy, graduating with a degree.
She is married with Royal-Prince Ansgard since 2009. She has two kids, Princess Tora Runa Ingrid (*2011) and Prince Harald Frederik Leif (*2013).
In 2014, Astrid ascended the throne after her father, Leif V, voluntarily abdicated after 36 years of reign.

Queen Astrid III is considered a modern monarch who is strongly committed to environmental and cultural projects. She is very approachable in public and maintains an open relationship with her citizens.
Her priorities include:
Promoting renewable energies and protecting the coastal landscapes of Doggerland.
